I'm 2791st in line for Billie Eilish tickets as I'm writing this (which isn't even bad considering I started at 22,000th, lol). Thirty-six minutes after they went on sale, and I am still waiting.
I have no idea what the price of tickets even is, but you better believe I'm getting the best tickets available to me and blindly hitting purchase.
This got me thinking..
What causes this type of loyalty with our "fanbase?"
Why is it that I have put off an entire afternoon of work to make sure I get to spend 2 hours in the same room as Billie??
Another influencer that I'm like with this is Alex Cooper (love her or hate her, she's got a cult following) and the Call Her Daddy account.
Anytime she posts anything, I am literally excited to watch it.
As I was thinking about this, I was asking myself "Why is it that I love watching her content so much?"
And there are two things that stand out:
I absolutely loveeeee to see the videos where she is sharing what she's doing on a day-to-day basis. I am SO nosy and think it's so interesting to see what the vibes in her office is like, what types of meetings she's in, and basically how she runs her empire.
I think she's hilarious and a great interviewer. I love hearing the stories she gets out of the people. She's great at becoming everyone's best friend and making them feel like they are welcome and can be comfortable/themselves.
We're on a summer break from the podcast, so instead of listening to an episode this week, I want you to try to challenge yourself to this: How can you make your audience feel like they're your best friend? How can you give the nosy people what they want?
Hit "reply" and let me know what you're thinking to a) hold yourself accountable and b) help me get some ideas ๐

One of the most challenging things about running my membership was making it so that people would actually talk to each other, believe it or not! After running my membership for ~3 years now, I've learned a lot about what works and what doesn't when it comes to getting people engaged in the community โ and in this YouTube video (yes, she's in her โจ YT era โจ), I'm spilling the tea about what's moved the needle the most.
When I was in DC a couple weeks back, I stopped at a local SPCA that is overrun with adoptable dogs. I got a chance to create some content for them for Adopt a Pet, and Jasnah is one of the dogs that I met. She was found as a stray and as a shy girl, it's hard for her to win over potential adopters because she takes a little time to warm up. But with that underbite, I'd be sold ๐
๐ค Breaking down how I set my rates โ Rates for brand partnerships are dependent on so many things, not just follower count, so here's exactly how I figure out what to charge.
I'll admit, I was slow to get into Emily Henry. "People We Meet on Vacation" was the first of her books that I read, and I did love it, but her books prior to this didn't hook me. HOWEVER, her last book "Funny Story" was one of my favorites so I was excited to see this book come out! So far, I'm super into it! I'm about halfway through and will report back probably next week with my rating!
P.S. I've been on such a romance kick, omg!
