Hi Reader,

I'll be honest: It's been really hard to show up as a creator on Instagram for the last couple of weeks and post content.

I feel like I go through these cycles where I'm really excited to create, so I go wild and post a ton.

And then — like right now — creating content feels more like a chore than anything else.

I'm thinking about this pretty hard right now as I write this, and I think I've brainstormed a few reasons why I'm in this "creating lull"... Maybe you can relate?

→ I'm posting because I have to vs. because I want to
​Instagram is the main driver of my business — for my membership and brand partnerships —, so creating never feels optional to me. We just went through a launch period, and a lot of my content personally felt really forced.

→ I'm more excited about other things in my life
​As I write this, I'm ~26 weeks pregnant, and this feels like so much more of a focus to me. Creating content is so much lower on the list of things I want to spend my time on vs. things like reading baby books, nesting, prepping for labor, etc.

→ My performance on my business-related content hasn't been the best
​I am annoyingly the type of person whose mood directly correlates with how my post is performing that day (I hate this about myself, lol). A lot of my business-related content that I typically fall back on as something I can count on to perform well has not being doing it's thaaang recently, and it can feel kinda hopeless.

As a Type A-Control-Freak-Capricorn, I can't just have a problem.. I have to fix it, lol. SO — here's my plan for the next few weeks for how I can get myself out of this rut:

✔️ I'm going to post only when I want to
​I'm ditching my content calendar for the rest of the month + instead of following a day-by-day schedule, I'm just going to use those ideas to post on days where I feel excited about that idea

✔️ I'm going to try to stop feeling guilty for not wanting to show up as often​
Because honestly most times, no one even notices but you 😂 Let's be real

✔️ I'm going to lean in on content ideas that perform better​
I'm a firm believer that your audience can tell when you're excited about an idea vs. when you're not - For ex: A lot of my dog content + mom-to-be content has been performing really well lately, so I'm going to lean in on that more and just... see what happens (this is NOT typical behavior for a Capricorn lol please let that be known)

It's really easy to look at me as a coach and think that everything is always great in my business + I love every minute, but you should know by now, I'm here to be REAL with you.. And nothing is perfect all the time!!
