As I write this, I've just finished a post for my Instagram, where I shared my story from start to finish about how I got to where I am today with Soulcialmate.
It really is SOOO crazy to look back at where I first started (going to college in NYC in 2013 for fashion advertising, thinking I wanted to work at a fashion magazine) to where I am now (coaching content creators how to build a business).
College-era Kristen watched the handful of fashion bloggers (who remembers Rumi Neely??) and thought they were so cool and there was no world where I would be labeled as the same job title as them.
In one of my first internships, I worked in editorial writing articles about fashion and beauty for STYLECASTER.com and I remember my job was to reach out to some of those OG fashion bloggers to get them featured on the site. Even just having conversations with them made me feel so elite, but the job truly felt more and more like something "girls like me" would never have.
Looking back now, it's really incredible to see a) how much the industry has changed and become more accessible to literally anyone who wants it bad enough, and b) how much my career path has changed.
This is my (sappy) little mid-week reminder that things can go so differently from how we plan them to. You are in charge of your own destiny!

Well, I never thought I'd be here with an Emily Henry book, but I have officially decided to put it down and start reading other books. I was about 50% in and was just not feeling it.
BUT I did put a hold on the audiobook on Libby, so I think I'm going to try it again but via audiobook and hope for a better experience, lol.
